The girls have really enjoyed the crazy Iowa weather! We dug out the already packed away winter clothes one more time. While Leon and Mom stay indoors these two ladies have a blast in the back yard. I've seen games of tag, snowball fights, snowman building....Faye without her hat, Faye without her snowboots....hmmm. They have enjoyed our unexpected 5th season. There are always hot chocolate requests from June after playing in the snow.

Friday night we actually celebrated Christmas again. June had spent a lot of time wrapping the perfect gifts for everyone in our family. Even Leon. We pulled out a tree, put on a 1970's Christmas record and waited to surprise Matt when he got home from work. The girls were sooo excited. After dinner, we popped popcorn, opened presents and watched a movie. What a good night. Matt and I laughed so hard at the girls creativity and pretend excitement that it brought tears. Whew! Oh, by the way. Leon slept through his first Christmas.
