Happy Birthday to Leon!! I can't believe this little guy turned 1 on April 8th. We had a small, low-key party with family. He loved the balloon from Grandma and Grandpa and the truck from Cousin Elsie. He was very cautious about trying his birthday cake. I think he knew that Mom doesn't usually plop a giant sugary cake on his highchair tray. 

At ONE Leon enjoys: his sisters, blueberries, snuggles with mom, his thumb and blankie, opening cupboards, wrestling with dad, exploring, eating chalk and sand, vacuuming, feeding the dog, reading books, playing with trucks and tractors, being naked, tickles from June, being carried around by June, playing with Olive, combing his hair, going on a run with dad, music (especially songs heavy on the drums), fishing in the toilet, Grandma and himself. He really likes himself.

Dad snuggled with big boy after nap. Yes, Matt has on a very festive party shirt. Just let him know if you'd like to borrow it for your next shin-dig.

Truck sounds coming out of his mouth....

Leon very gingerly tore into his cake. He hasn't had much sugar up to this point. No worries. stomach of steel. :)
