Now that dance recital is complete, our summer can officially begin! We have a few things planned to keep us busy, but we also like not having much going on at all. We take a daily walk to the neighborhood park with friends and fishing poles. June and Faye have been working on illustrations to enter into the Iowa State Fair! (Momma is proud.) Leon loves playing in the garage with all of the bikes and wheels and dirt. We take a weekly trip to the library for crafts and for the summer reading program. Faye has been excited, as always, about helping me garden. We just planted some new seeds a few days ago: ornamental corn, parsley and cilantro. Everyday our little strawberry patch produces a good handful of ripe berries. The best ever!! Leon loves to taste everything in the backyard. Hmmmm.
Leon got new shoes with a velcro strap that he feels suitable for cuddling.
One of June's paintings using gouache and ink.
Best tasting berries in the land.
June lost ANOTHER tooth! Or toof, as she might say. It's a very sweet gummy smile.
