Our family loves going to the Iowa State Fair in the summer. We love the people watching, greasy eats (corn dogs mmmm), Iowa culture, etc. This year we made it for the first day and the last day of the fair. The girls did great. Faye even napped for a brief moment!

We got to see a really cool butterfly garden this year. Faye was very good at butterfly squashing not watching so much. (Notice my grip.)

June was brave enough to let them land on her hand. She wants to be a monarch for Halloween.

Nothing is better than the sugar boost from a monster-sized rice crispy bar on a stick.

June was obsessed with the scenic cutouts you could stick your head in. There happened to be thousands at the fair this year. Even Grandpa Bob got in on the action.
